Marcus Hart’s Kinetic PE MIXX Show Unveils Roosevelt Bruce’s Faith-Fired Hustle from Jail to Hip-Hop Triumph

MILWAUKEE, WI – March 5, 2025 – Marcus Hart, ex-soldier and host of Kinetic PE MIXX Show, drops “Turning Trials into Triumphs with Roosevelt Bruce,” airing now on YouTube and podcast apps. From Iraq scars to Baptist exile, Hart helps depleted faithful find shameless Jesus love—Bruce’s 19-month jail stint fuels his hip-hop empire, targeting 10,000 views to spark urban faith renewal.

For Sarah—depleted by church shame, humiliated by judgment, forsaken by rigid faith—Marcus Hart’s latest Kinetic PE MIXX Show episode is a raw lifeline. Available now on YouTube and podcast apps, “Turning Trials into Triumphs with Roosevelt Bruce” blends Hart’s soldier grit with Bruce’s hip-hop hustle. This 15-minute faith-fired feature aims for 10,000 views/downloads, igniting a shameless Jesus love movement in urban corners. Hart, battered by Iraq’s abuse and excommunicated from Baptist pulpits, flipped his sucked-dry soul with Psalm 23. “Church threw napkins—I threw hands with Jesus,” he says. Roosevelt Bruce—Racine’s south side warrior—mirrors that, turning 19 months behind bars into bars of gold like “Ice Water” and 19 Months In. “I stayed solid—came home, got to it,” Bruce told Hart, building Roosevelt Worldwide Entertainment solo.

Loss lit his fire—dad gone young, mom’s wisdom (“Put it in the music”) his fuel—faith keeps him steady. “Don’t fear risks—patience turns pain to platinum,” he dropped, a balm for Sarah’s scattered mind. Hart’s 2024 episodes spiked 50%—this one’s SEO-charged with “faith-based hip-hop” to triple reach. “My mama’s my biggest fan—she never heard a note,” Bruce laughed—raw truth echoes Hart’s napkins-to-sermons remix. Journalists, this is your beat: a Milwaukee ex-soldier and a jail-to-jukebox king redefine urban faith—share it, and 10K could soar. Marcus Hart (00:00)
Hey, hey, hey to my kinetic PE. People out there, if you burned out, feeling like your dreams got stuck in the spin cycle, this one's your jam. I'm Marcus Hart, of the Kinetic PE show, where we drop faith, fire, and a little laugh to reunite your soul. Today, I got Roosevelt, Bruce, racing his own Lyricus, and Hustle King, spending bars and building empires with Roosevelt Worldwide Entertainment, ENT.

He lost his dad, young, turned strategy into tracks, and now he's dropping heat like ice water. I have bombed gigs higher than a mixed tape that's been back, so I am very hyped to hear how he flipped the script. And let's get it!

Marcus Hart (00:49)
All right, Kinetic P.E. Mix fans, we are here, man. We about to turn it up, man. We got like a real good friend of mine, like who I've been knowing for some years now. Like, you know, it really has been some years and I can't believe it. He has been home now for a minute. He gonna talk more about that. You know, he got a couple of joints that are my favorites. We was talking about like, you know, a letter to my mom, which he dropped back last year.

And then like my race and it's like, you that's one of my favorites that like kind of like really talked to me. But, you know, we're going to talk more about that. Welcome to the show, Roosevelt.

Roosevelt Bruce (01:27)
What's

going on?

Marcus Hart (01:29)
It was good, man. You know, so we was talking on the other side, man. You you have been through the trials and tribulations. And it reminds me of like when I was in my 20s, like wrapping to a crowd that cared more about fries. But faith was all that I had left, man. And you got a story that make Fry Flop look like a warm up. So take us there, man. Take us back.

Roosevelt Bruce (01:44)
Yeah

Well, you know Roosevelt Bruce, you know racing Wisconsin You know, I'm from originally the south side racing if you want to call it, you know We don't really have a east side or no, got a west side east side is the lake though. So But you know, I've been rapping for a minute, you know start taking the series like 2001 safe 15 16 ish drop a guy

Marcus Hart (01:59)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (02:20)
Plenty of dropped out there, so it's plenty of music out there, but I probably dropped my first official take, I wanna say like 2020, that was regular bink, and then I dropped Bink Reloaded, probably like 2021, I dropped that. And then just a lot of singles for 2022, but I had to take an intermission, like 19 months, I went to jail for 19 months, 588 days to be exact, so 19 months and two weeks. I went down and I had for an incident, you know.

Marcus Hart (02:28)
Mm-hmm.

Roosevelt Bruce (02:51)
And I don't regret it, but you know, everything happened for a reason. But I went down for it, came home and got right back to it. I dropped 19 months in the EP, a letter to my mom and, you don't like me, that's all on Patricia's son. That's supposed to be dropping in March. So, you know, we just come back home working, you know, and I don't really want to say too much, you know what saying? Because I'm still on probation, so I don't really want to go into details, but just know something happened.

Marcus Hart (02:56)
you

Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (03:20)
I did my time, stayed solid, came home, and I'm back to it.

Marcus Hart (03:24)
Yeah, man, I appreciate you for like, taking us there, man. And you're right, man, when you're dealing with the people, you don't want to say too much. A lot of people have gotten themselves jammed up. You know, myself included before, when I was stupid, young and stupid. But now you know better, you when you go up, you know better. So like, man, back to fourth grade, freestyling with your cousins and you lost your dad.

Roosevelt Bruce (03:32)
Yeah

right.

Marcus Hart (03:52)
And it seemed to me like you turned that fire that sparked you into fuel, man, to keep going. So how have you been able to keep that fire going, man, from the fuel of all these tribulations? Like your cousin Xavier is gone. You talk about your mama lot. How do you do this?

Roosevelt Bruce (04:11)
I come from a musical family. I could just say everybody in my family. They do music rap play instruments I got cousin that's that does beach and they you know I'm saying beat slayer, know I'm saying Justin my cousin he does beach, you know, he cold he's do music I got my cousin a whip I don't know if you interviewed a whip before but a whip that's my cousin He does a lot of music, you know saying everybody I hang around actually does music. shout out to PSD

Marcus Hart (04:16)
Hmm.

Roosevelt Bruce (04:38)
You know what saying? They do music. You know what saying? I'm a part of their group too. So I do music with them. So it's just like, just being around musical influences keep my fire going. You know what I'm saying? And just the love of music. I just love it. You know, it don't matter what type of music. I don't just listen to rap. I listen to everything. I was just sitting in my car listening to LMA by myself. You know what I'm saying? So was like, you know, you know, so it's just the, I love music. So, and music is a copametic too. It helps you.

Marcus Hart (05:06)
Mm-hmm.

Roosevelt Bruce (05:07)
You know what saying? Not stressed so much. I use it as, know, me going through my life situation, I use music to kind of keep me mellow.

I can hear you.

Marcus Hart (05:14)
That's why we that's why we got backups We got

Roosevelt Bruce (05:14)
That's me. Yeah. I'm like, yeah, you out. I'm like, whoa, that's My thing be connected to

my Bluetooth in the car. I'll be the sun tazzer to do that. I had to make sure that wasn't me.

Marcus Hart (05:26)
why one you like so like I had to switch the mics up you know so like I got I got two I got two lapel mics so that won't that won't just die out on me and but we we keep rolling with the punches we keep rolling with the punches and so like what I was trying to say though before we went out was at what point did you decide to go all in on music

Roosevelt Bruce (05:29)
Okay.

Okay.

It's all good. Yeah, it's all good. Yeah. Yeah.

Well, I mean, I always went all in on music, like my videos and you know, when I started rapping and taking it serious, like I was whatever, I'm putting whatever I need to be done out. But I actually said the time that I sat down in jail, that's when I said I wanted to come home and go all in. So shout out to VT, you know, that's been my brother for 20 some years. So as soon as I came home and he knew I was home, he get me together. He getting everything that I need for.

Marcus Hart (06:08)
Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (06:19)
Royalties, BMIs, whatever I need to be done, like he's been helping me with some shout to VT on that too. So that's what we going to do with before. That's when I started putting my all into it. When I came home, I said, if I'm gonna rap, I'm put all of my money that I'm doing or whatever I'm doing with it, I'm gonna put it all into it.

Marcus Hart (06:35)
I like that because, you know, it is money out here to be made, with this, when you stick to it and when you decide to just like, okay, this is what I'm doing. And what I like about you the most, man, is, you know, I always reference back to like when my grandma told me, you know, she taught me like the 23 number song, he restores my soul. But you took pain and made it, you're making it platinum right now. you know, your influences like Master P, 2 Pot,

You got a lot of different local legends. You know, was a way that they shaped your sound in particular that like, you know, made you a tool artist you are now.

Roosevelt Bruce (07:13)
Yeah, I would say that because I didn't heard that people say like okay you not from down south but you From up north so you got a Midwest wag, but you got a down south sound So I would say all the people for me listen to like Master P UGK, you know I'm saying all the people down south me listen to when I was younger and then me getting older and started listening to

Marcus Hart (07:20)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

Roosevelt Bruce (07:40)
people in the Midwest or like now I'm listening to Detroit swag and all that I mixed it all together and I made my own style.

Marcus Hart (07:46)
Yeah.

And that's good because you don't get like wrapped up in and all like this like this racing, you know, drama with the music scene. And I know that was going on like real heavy last year. And I was like sitting on outside here in Milwaukee just like, you know, what's really going on? You know, we we all got our own lanes, you know, who's the one artist bigger, big or racing that really flipped your style and kept you grinding in your own lane?

Roosevelt Bruce (07:54)
No.

Yeah.

like which rapper

Marcus Hart (08:18)
Yeah, yeah, we even gotta be a rapper. Sometimes like we get these inspirations from like country or rock or like, you know, any. It could be racing or it could be just. Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (08:19)
Uh-uh.

If you're a racing right you tell my racing I Will say my boy, I would say my boy young swagger like it's just been my my guy like it's been my guy That's like who I really like

Like and I'm gonna give her no props, you know saying no Whatever they want to call it, but that's my man's like, you know I'm saying like he one that really like brought me out my shell of rapping like my first video I did was with him. No, I'm saying like my first recording us. Do I have my own stool? But my first real like recording was with him

Marcus Hart (08:49)
Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (08:54)
So he's really like, I wanna say what made me keep going in there. Every time he see me, like, man, you gotta drop some music, Bruce. You gotta drop some music. So it's like, every time he see me, he gonna put that, he gonna, what you doing with the music? Every time, it don't matter where I'm at, where I see him, first thing, what's up? What's up with the music? You know what I'm saying? So that's what kinda like keep me going too. Every time I see bro, shout out to bro.

Marcus Hart (09:11)
Yeah.

Yeah, it's good to have like people like that. like VT man and you know, These these people like down earth. They really like care about, you know, direction going. Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (09:22)
Yeah, and I messed with the whole BTA too. I ain't got no just no favorite

person. listened to all of them. Know what I'm saying? what I'm saying? Cello really on his way up too. Shout out to my boy Cello.

Marcus Hart (09:29)
Yeah.

Oh yeah, definitely,

definitely cello doing big things. You know, I remember when all three of came through, when I was at the old studio down over Prospect over on the east side of Milwaukee, close to Blake. And I'm like, man, you know, it's so much support, man, and so much unity with what y'all doing. And I can tell you pull a lot of, you know, that love that you get from people who really mess with you a lot.

Roosevelt Bruce (09:40)
Yeah.

Yeah.

Marcus Hart (10:01)
from there, I think that's like the most important thing to have beyond you just like, you know, real supporters and people who who are gonna tell you like it is to. So like your spark, your sparking definitely did. And it's just waiting for that beat drop. You know, and I think you're a good inspiration for people who try to turn those guards into bars. You know what I mean?

Roosevelt Bruce (10:16)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm. Yeah. You know? Just here to do my job, man. My mama always say you the messenger, man. You just, you know, you speak from your heart. Yeah, you know what I'm saying? I just try to speak to what I know or what I've seen or what I've been through, you know? I'm not gonna fabricate and all that. I'm just, you know, I'm just speaking on what I've seen before or what I've done before, you know, and what I've been through.

Marcus Hart (10:27)
Yeah. Yeah.

Indeed, All right, so like ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, we rockin' and rappin' real hard with our boy, Roosevelt Bruce. Embrace him as we continue on this journey. For the rest of this interview, we gonna take a quick break, and then we'll be right, right back with Roosevelt Bruce.

Roosevelt Bruce (11:01)
Yes sir. Yes sir.

Marcus Hart (11:52)
I welcome back to the P.E. Mix family and Transformers out there. Man, we is rocking with our boy, Bruce, know, Roosevelt, tell them where they can find you at, You know, we want to put that up front right away. You know, where they can find you at and how they can connect with you.

Roosevelt Bruce (12:00)
Sir.

Well, I'm on social medias, you know I'm saying Facebook would be Bruce Roosevelt Roger. That's my main page. You got snapchat Roosevelt Bruce you got Instagram Roosevelt Bruce All platforms, you know saying for the music Roosevelt Bruce I'm on YouTube, you know, that's her whatever title whatever I'm everywhere. You know saying you want to reach out to me inbox me You know I'm saying and I respond to messages to typically one hour

Marcus Hart (12:12)
All right.

You

Mm-hmm.

Roosevelt Bruce (12:35)
I'll be on there writing you back. You want a feature? I don't really charge for none. I don't really do none of that for nobody. I just like to rap. I like to do music. Let's try to get some paper together.

Marcus Hart (12:45)
I like that, I like that. So, when we talk about to the point where we know we have put so much energy into what we're doing and we just grind and grind and grind, at some point though we start burning out or feeling like we stressed the hell out to the max. How do we remix that into Roosevelt's hustle?

Roosevelt Bruce (13:10)
Well, when I'm, I wanna say when I'm got a load on me and I feel like I'm stressed, I try to, I take a little time off from the music. Cause you know what saying, music is your music, but you gotta take time off for your personal and your mental too. So I take time off from my mental and I lock in. Like right now I haven't been doing, I got music made, ready to drop. But physically me being in the studio, I haven't been in the studio.

Marcus Hart (13:19)
Mm-hmm.

Right.

Roosevelt Bruce (13:36)
because I've been working on my mental. You know what I'm You gotta have your mental right before you can do anything. So I've been working on my mental. And then when I come back in, I just, I'd be so full of energy to get back in there, because I ain't been there in a while and I just go crazy. I got a song going 19 months, 19 months in, it's called Five Years Off. I took five years off before I dropped any tape, like Bink, or Bink Reload. I took five years off before I did that. Know what I'm The song,

Marcus Hart (13:57)
Well.

Roosevelt Bruce (14:05)
The songs I got on there now, it's like, they old to me, they new to y'all. These songs been recorded two years ago, three years ago.

Marcus Hart (14:05)
That's real.

Yeah.

So you really tap it in. You got roots, especially in your racing roots, that really lit your path up. And when you're getting ready to start, to drop something, what's your trick like tapping into your core roots?

Roosevelt Bruce (14:18)
Yeah.

Mm-hmm.

What, what music?

Marcus Hart (14:32)
Yeah, with music. Yeah, definitely.

Roosevelt Bruce (14:34)
I'm gonna say, tapping into my cord linking, I don't know, it's just, when I'm ready, I'm ready. When I'm ready and I feel it, I feel it. Like I have an energetic person, like I get on my brother nerves, I'll write him like, what you doing? He'd be like, nah, I'm black man, I'm in the studio. He'd be like, man, like I'm like, yeah, I'm finna come in here. It's times I don't want the studio to drop five, six songs straight. And Gibbs like, damn, like you did this in four hours, I'm like, yeah, let's get to it, I'm ready to work.

Marcus Hart (14:48)
you

Yeah.

Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (15:02)
Like, you know, when I'm ready to do what I

say, I got plenty of music that I haven't even dropped yet that's just sitting in the chamber that I can just drop, you know what I'm if I wanted to. But sometimes I like to sit back and I ain't gonna lie, I like to analyze the game. I like to see what's popping, what's buzzing, what, okay, they like the Torque songs right now or they like the club songs. Let see if they like the trap right now. They like him, you know what I'm saying? That's the type of artist I am. I gotta put everything together. I strategize everything.

Marcus Hart (15:28)
And that really shows, man. That's the juice. Just like, you know, brewing up this Transform Youth coffee that I drink every morning. You know, yeah, you really did get to, know, your core. You don't really like go too far off, even though it's a trend. And it seemed like you got a way of like going back to turning that pain to power, you know, like with a lot of the tragedies that birth your bangers, you know, how do you flip the script?

Roosevelt Bruce (15:31)
Yeah I shall be cut

Yeah

Half of... When I... Explain it again?

Marcus Hart (15:59)
when you have to or if you ever do.

You know, so like you had a lot of tragedies that happened to you. They're like they transformed into bangers, man. You put out a lot of bankers like out of those tragedies. You know, how do you flip the script like like that? You know, when you when you have like these things going on and then you put them out like that.

Roosevelt Bruce (16:14)
you

my pain into my music, basically what you're saying. I wanna say, it's a, you know what I'm a mama's boy, And I listen to my mama, man. My mama always tell me like, that's your gift, you know what saying? When you're stressed out and you going through that, don't put it in that music, boy. Put it in that music. Find a way to release it through the music. Cause I ain't gonna lie, two years ago I was an angry guy. I ain't gonna lie, when my mama died it was just like.

Marcus Hart (16:26)
Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (16:52)
I didn't care about nothing, like, But I had to keep thinking too, like my mama, like, put in your music. My mama my biggest fan, it's crazy, my mama never listen to none of my music.

Marcus Hart (17:01)
Wow, yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (17:02)
She

didn't care about hearing or nothing. Do it. That's what you like. You've been rapping since you was in the fourth grade. Keep going. Keep doing it. That's what you love to do. You didn't want to play basketball. You tried it. It didn't work. You wanted to do music, rap. You ain't rich, but hey, you got a little following. I can go in the store and they be like, I know your son.

Marcus Hart (17:15)
Mm-hmm.

Yeah, you know, know, mamas and like people who really, really care about us, they be having the like the best simple balls that we that we remember forever. We remember those things forever. Like I could always rattle up something that like my granny taught me. Like, you know, I always like remember those stuff like it just come out of nowhere. You know, so that those are truly bars, man. And, know, I think that's good advice for people. Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (17:29)
Yeah!

Keep going, never give up. I would say her favorite

line, her favorite line from me too, you'll never fail you as long as you try.

How you gonna fail if you try? You can't be a failure if you try.

Marcus Hart (17:51)
Thanks for your help.

No, you can't. Yeah, the only failure is when you don't try, know, like, mom.

Roosevelt Bruce (17:57)
When you give up, that's when you fail. So long

as you try, you're never a failure.

Marcus Hart (18:01)
That's for real. And speaking of which, man, you build your you building your own stage and, know, I've been, you know, a podcast like mostly outside of like the music I do. But you got worldwide entertainment, you know, and that's your empire. How do you make your mark stick with that?

Roosevelt Bruce (18:14)
Yeah.

I mean, I just put it in they face. don't say, Mark, you know, I'm my only artist too. I don't have no team. I don't have a team behind me. I mean, I'm rebuilding now. Before I was going to jail, I was trying to build then. Know what I'm But I'm the only artist right now. So I just put it in they face. Y'all gonna see Roosevelt. I'm put it in y'all face. And I'm gonna put Roosevelt, and I'm gonna say it in my song, Roosevelt Worldwide. Know what I'm saying? It's what it is. It's Roosevelt Worldwide. It's Roosevelt all around America.

Marcus Hart (18:22)
Hmm.

there.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (18:48)
It's a Roosevelt street, avenue, drive, block. It's Roosevelt somewhere.

Marcus Hart (18:50)
Yeah.

That's for real. Yeah.

Roosevelt Bruce (18:54)
building a school You

know what I'm Like it's something Roosevelt somewhere

Marcus Hart (18:59)
Yeah,

it is. What I've noticed about all the Roosevelt's around, around like the country, like there's a good side of it and there's a bad side. Every Roosevelt. Yeah. Right. You see me the same way.

Roosevelt Bruce (19:08)
Just like Racine. Just like Racine. Why was that? It's a cul-de-sac

full of buildings. You know, I ain't like that no more. But when I was growing up over there, used to be wild. It's a cul-de-sac full of buildings. One way in, one way out. You know what I'm saying? You know what's going on over there. But then you can go down this hill on the other side of and you can leave your door open. You know what I'm It's like, it's crazy.

Marcus Hart (19:16)
Bye.

Yeah.

You

Yeah, that's true there. And I think that's a real good way to like, look at like how you, you know, take your music, you know, like, man, you know, you can use it however you want to use it. You know, you know, the sky's unlimited to me, many different possibilities. So, it...

Roosevelt Bruce (19:44)
Yeah.

But we doing it big this year

though. I finna start my street team and I've been hollering at a couple of my guys and my friends and a couple of little artists that I know we finna do it big this year. I just gotta get out first. I just gotta push. That's all.

Marcus Hart (19:56)
Hmm.

All right. So like, what's wrong with the move though that like people who are watching can like steal from you to build their own hustle, whether it's big or small.

Roosevelt Bruce (20:14)
You said what? Say it again.

Marcus Hart (20:16)
What's one move that our audience out there can still to build their own hustle, whether it's big or small?

Roosevelt Bruce (20:24)
I'll say one thing I could say is don't be scared to take a risk. That's what I could say. Don't be scared to take a risk. If this is something that you want to do, hey, you got to take a risk. You know what saying? You'll never find out if you're going to make it or not if you don't take the risk. You got to take the risk. Yeah, you might take the risk and you might, it might not work the first time. Go back to the drawing board, redo it, take another risk. Know what I'm saying? You got to keep taking these risks. One of the risks going to hit. Some going to hit.

Marcus Hart (20:51)
Yeah, good.

Roosevelt Bruce (20:53)
You just gotta take your time and patience is key too. When you rush stuff, don't nothing never happen the way you want it to go. Be patient. It might not take a year. It might take four, five years, but if you patient, best believe you won't miss out. No details. And when you come correct, it's gonna be all right down the dotted line. You don't have to worry about going back to try to fix no errors.

Marcus Hart (21:12)
This is secret sauce right there, man. And that's filled with lot of faith first effort to it. And that helped people not just survive, but they end up dropping their own after what you just spit to us, man. That's some solid information. I appreciate that, brother. So as we come to the close here, man, what else would the audience out there to know or for them to just check into?

Roosevelt Bruce (21:17)
You can

Yeah

Sir. Yes, sir.

Marcus Hart (21:38)
with what all you got going on.

Roosevelt Bruce (21:40)
First I'ma tell them this like this man, you never too old to chase your dreams. Don't ever let nobody say, oh man you 30 something, you shouldn't be rapping. Hey, I know artists in the game right now to this day. They ain't getting to their game today, it wasn't 30 something. They millionaires now, they don't never take that for granted, like keep going no matter what they say. And I ain't just for rap or music, just for basketball, just for college, just for whatever. Don't never let nobody say you too old to do nothing. I feel like that's a hater move when they say that.

Marcus Hart (21:47)
Hmm.

Yeah.

Yeah, definitely.

Roosevelt Bruce (22:12)
Second of all, I want to say,

Just look me up man. I got some amazing stuff coming out real soon. I got some stuff I've been working on and when I drop it It's gonna be nice Patricia's son supposed to drop I'm gonna say I don't want to say the date because I've been kind of slacking I mean, I just got back started working and stuff. So I want to say the date but March though. It's coming March Either it will be either My mom's birthday, which I'm not gonna tell y'all cuz I just told you I'm be on a or the end of March So you gotta choose. You know what I'm It's gonna come though. It's coming though. Yeah, it's coming along

Marcus Hart (22:31)
Okay.
