The James Harden and Ben Simmons trade that occurred seemed to be very blockbuster, but if we are really honest with ourselves the teams being the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers should just waive and release both of the players based on the resumes these two are bringing to the two. The Brooklyn Nets are already in a big mess with the Kyrie Irving part-time situation and with Kevin Durant's injury got many fans bracing for dear life because games are slipping by and pushing the team further down the standings. Many are also of the belief that Philadelphia 76ers with an improving beast in Joel Embiid, that if nothing wasn't too far from broken then why attempt to add to it or fix it.
Daryl Morey's best dream that he awakens with his bed wet has come true being reunited with Harden, but history has proven that the playoff failings will be forever echoed as the song "Sound of Silence". Ben Simmons's mental toughness likewise, is evident in the amazing disappearing acts he pulls in the playoffs by being one of the few big men in the league that can facilitate the ball, get on defense, but refuses to shoot a layup over a much smaller defender. We call this the "Magic Johnson syndrome".
The integrity of James Harden is questioned when examined the addiction to the club scene antics and the chasing away of important personalities from the faces of Aaron Brooks, Russell Westbrook, Serge Ibaka, Kevin Durant two twice, Kevin McHale, Chris Paul, and Dwight Howard just to name a few. Again how can any of these two players help these teams with these types of mindsets?
At Transform U Sports Network, being attached to Transform U Media Network, it is important that you strive towards wisdom. With wisdom, you are able to look back take accountability and see your faults and not just puff yourself up in pride. Being known as a stat padder of 28+ a game with the Rockets may sound great to some or being big, fast, and a great defender who has dated a Kardashian is cool, but what have you done for me lately to account for your faults. Let's see how this story pans out because work ethic will be important to change the true narrative of these two that nobody talks about except on Snowman in the Morning.
