The Lakers have FAILED
The Lakers have proven that LeBron has no impact in the NBA on the floor
In the 18 years of LeBron James' NBA career, I am doubling and tripling down that it is fair to say that James has not made a significant impact on the league on the court. The first reason and most important there is to the fact that down in southern California in the Bay area there is another player by the name of Stephan Curry that has done what LeBron can only achieve and dream of in only 13 years and that's to make a real impact on the game.
At the beginning of the season as LeBron went into full General Manager mode, recruited Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony to join with him and Anthony Davis. No one wanted to hear that they were old, slow, and injury-prone to survive an entire season.
It was a sure closed casket of their season be to being smacked by the New Orleans Pelicans in the Staples Center with a 28 point loss. The raining echos of the six future Hall of Famers going on to exit the season with 70 wins and 12 losses is now laughable. What can be worst than this recapping the season for Lakers in hindsight? It is definitely the two times the Lakers gave up a 20-pt lead to the Oklahoma City Thunder.
It is great to acknowledge James is delivering great stats and quite the performance for the aging 37-year-old NBA veteran. Even in the 30-pt blowout, Lebron manages to score 30. It is reflective of the two decades in LeBron's career where he failed short to lead a team and win when it matters most.
In short, it's stupid to think of LeBron James better than Michael Jordan. It is a lack of intellect to even wonder about LeBron as a sure finisher. Have mercy on the Lakers and the fans because that is what is needed.
