This interview talks about the transformational journey of Shaun Curtis. He used to go through various road incidents daily being a driver and of course, he witnessed ills of the society. He is humble and down to earth person to deal with. In this time of quarantine, he provides the readers with the amazing book “Diary of a Vigilante.” He turned his life a lot in reaching this stage of life.
He witnessed many incidents and are punished foolishly by the enforcement laws. He gets bored in this time of lockdown and when the roads are closed with snow, there is nothing to do on those days. He writes a book and finds it a relatively interesting task to keep himself busy. He cannot go over the speed of 65 due to government trucks; he also makes sure that there are no passersby near him while driving. It takes a few minutes to turn out the truck. He also came across individuals out on the road exploring sexual adventures.
This quarantine time is quite easy for him to deal with. He is encountering less traffic with peaceful roads. He could not stay at home because he got a profession of driving. He finds the roads calm and much peaceful than before.
Diary of a Vigilante:
Jack is the main character of his story who was an average person but a decent citizen. Somewhere in the deep inside, everyone thinks about various experiences. The only way you live is the option presented at that stage of life at a certain time. Like do or die, and right or wrong!
The book is a fiction one that means not real. Jack leaves an inspirational message for the readers. Jack is facing unjust law enforcement in the whole book when he tries to save his friend’s family from a sexual predator. He let down by the police due to his anger and revenge purposes. He was on the top list of law enforcement by the government. Again, the wrong turn changes his life. If you go on the wrong road, you have to face consequences in every stage of life. So taking precautionary measures are highly important.
Survivors came out at the real need of the time. Even the animals from mouse to lion came as survivors after hiding at a certain place at a certain time. This strategy is required at this time. If you push, push and push you to get pushed back. He would love if its book were presented in a movie but with the right actors. He gives his views about violence and shares those men and women must have 50-50 of their shares. He also practices this balance in his home as well. Calmness is not under the control for most of the men. The testosterone leads men towards violence. Women and children are facing this violence on a larger ratio because men face cannot have control over their violent emotions. In the last women are there to suffer.
What spirituality is and why it is required?
He talked about God as something related to spirituality. Spirituality is linked to the deeds of people and one can have control over it by controlling its temper. You must go on for others, do not judge and do not be judged by others. You can have control over everything. Although everyone loses, its mind on daily routine but still you can have control over yourself. This is something in contradiction to his book. Controlling his temper makes his stay grounded in any situation. He asks people for forgiveness being humble with them. He also believes in doing the right deeds. Serving others makes you humble and down to earth. Everyone has his family to go to, so by just one ignore action you can let them go. This is the way of serving humanity.
